Fabulous Juice Recipes at Join the Reboot

It's no secret that we love our fresh juice around here! And while I typically stick with a basic green juice, I've started getting a little more adventurous. Last week, following a field trip to the citrus farm, I made Green O.J. (oranges and kale) for the kids, along with a grapefruit / sweet potato / golden beet combo.

Needless to say, I was thrilled to find an entire section of juice recipes while exploring Join the Reboot recently. I made the Gazpacho Juice (really good!) yesterday and will be stocking up on ingredients for several others (including the Cinnamon Apple & Butternut Squash Juice) this week. Whether you're new to juicing or just looking for new recipes to try, there is definitely something (or probably a dozen "somethings") for everyone there.

  1. Great post! I love the "Join the Reboot" site, it's so comprehensive and best of all - FREE! My husband and I have been juicing, but my daughters are young (1 & 3) and not fans of the green juice. I think it's the color - any how, I'll be interested to see how the Cinnamon Apple & Butternut Squash turns out for you, it sounds amazing!

  2. The Cinnamon Apple & Butternut turned out great! The kids liked it, and my husband loved it. I added some sweet potatoes in just b/c I had them and they went with the color theme. ;)

    FYI my little ones like it when I add stevia to our green juices (like this Green Lemonade recipe: http://growinghealthysprouts.blogspot.com/2011/07/great-green-lemonade.html).

    I haven't done this in a while just b/c I want them to learn to drink the juice unsweetened, but a few stevia leaves really do go a long way towards making them excited about it. :)

  3. I am new to juicing and have been doing it 3-4 times a day, with a grilled chicken and vegatable dinner. Does eating a "real meal" at supper ruin the benefits of juicing all day?

    1. Juicing can serve many different purposes, so unless you are looking for a very cleansing fast, I don't see anything wrong with "real food". Think about how many nutrients you are getting by adding juice 3-4 times a day! That said, I'm certainly not an expert - check out the Crazy Sexy Diet and Join the Reboot sites for some great info on juicing! :)
